How to UseĀ a Mask-
Always begin with freshly clean skin before applying a mask for the greatest benefits.
After you skin has been freshly washed, steam your face over a bowl of fresh herbs such as rosemary and chamomile. The herbs will provide a mini-facial in itself with their natural healing properties. The steam will help open up your pores to and prepare your skin for the mask treatment.
Be sure to keep the mask away from the mouth and the eyes if not using the type of mask specially formulated for these sensitive areas.
Follow the direction on the mask which you have selected.
When removing the facial masks, a soft warm wash cloth is great aid to help in this process. Do not rub vigorously, but use gentle strokes and re-wet the cloth with warm water when necessary.
Once the mask has been removed, follow up with a toner to remove all traces of the mask. Most masks do not require skin to be re-cleansed after the treatment has been completed.
Do a final rinse with cool water to close the pores.
Apply a light moisturizer after your mask treatment is complete
Depending on the type of mask which you select, the majority of masks can be used 2x per weeks. Be sure not to apply the mask more often than the prescribed directions. Applying a mask too often can dry your skin out, and cause adverse affects.
